Pokemon 2023 Holiday Calendar
This calendar excels at delivering a wealth of surprises, including 8 foil Pokémon cards, 5 booster packs, and exclusive fun packs, making it ideal for dedicated collectors. Compared with the 2024 and 2025 options, it offers a more substantial focus on collectible cards and less emphasis on digital content, appealing to those who prioritize tangible items. However, it may be less suitable as a casual gift or for younger children due to its emphasis on trading cards and collectibles. Its seasonal availability and lack of detailed content for each surprise could be drawbacks for those seeking predictability.
Pros:- Includes a variety of collectible foil cards and booster packs
- Exclusive foil Pokémon cards enhance collectible value
- Perfect for dedicated fans and card traders
Cons:- Limited details on specific contents of each surprise
- Primarily suited for seasonal use, not long-term play

Pokémon TCG Holiday Calendar 2024
The 2024 calendar emphasizes a fun, festive experience with 25 surprises, including foil promo cards, booster packs, coins, and a keyring. Compared to the 2023 and 2025 calendars, it offers a broader appeal for children aged 6 and up, thanks to its inclusion of accessories like keyrings and stickers. The digital code adds value for those who play Pokémon TCG online. Its seasonal nature might be a limitation for long-term collectors, and some items could feel repetitive for experienced fans. Nevertheless, its bright, engaging design makes it ideal as a holiday gift for younger fans or casual players.
Pros:- Includes foil promo cards, booster packs, and accessories like keyrings
- Bright, festive packaging enhances holiday cheer
- Suitable for ages 6 and up
Cons:- Limited long-term collectible value
- Some items may be repetitive for seasoned collectors
- Seasonal use only
Best for: Younger fans and casual players looking for a festive, collectible experience with digital integration.
Not ideal for: Long-term collectors or those seeking a highly variable, card-centric holiday calendar.
- Included components:8 foil promo cards, 5 booster packs, 7 three-card packs, 2 coins, 2 sticker sheets, 1 keyring

Pokemon Holiday Calendar 2025 – Features 16 2-Inch Battle Figures with Special Finish and Eight Unique Accessories
This calendar takes a different approach by focusing on 16 holiday-themed battle figures with special finishes and eight accessories, over a 24-day countdown. Compared with the card-focused calendars, it emphasizes display and play value for action figure enthusiasts. The figures’ unique finishes make it appealing for collectors who enjoy themed figures, but it lacks the trading card surprises that many fans seek during the season. Its niche appeal means it’s less suitable for those primarily interested in card collecting or digital content, though it offers a fun, display-worthy alternative.
Pros:- Includes 16 holiday-themed battle figures with special finishes
- Eight accessories to enhance display options
- Great for display or play during the holidays
Cons:- Limited to figures, no trading cards or digital content
- Less versatile for traditional Pokémon card collectors
- Niche appeal; not a seasonal trading card surprise
Best for: Collectors and fans who prefer action figures and display collectibles over trading cards.
Not ideal for: Seasoned card collectors or those looking for digital content or traditional trading packs.
- Number of figures:16
- Accessories included:8
- Finish type:Special
- Item weight:2.3 pounds
- Size:1″L x 1″W
- Material:Plastic
Our verdict“This calendar is a solid choice for action figure collectors wanting a festive, display-oriented set over traditional trading cards.”

Compared with earlier years, it offers a balanced mix of collectibles and online content, making it suitable for a wide range of fans—from casual collectors to digital players. Its comprehensive surprise set and seasonal appeal make it a versatile gift, but like other seasonal calendars, it’s not designed for long-term use or persistent collection. How We Picked
To select these five Pokémon TCG holiday calendars, I evaluated a combination of factors: the variety and quality of surprises, suitability for different age groups and levels of engagement, value for the price, and overall appeal as seasonal gifts. I compared the contents, including foil cards, booster packs, accessories, and digital codes, to determine which calendars offer the most engaging experience for different types of fans. I also considered practical aspects like safety, availability, and seasonal relevance, ensuring each pick has a clear role and benefits for specific buyer needs.
Factors to Consider When Choosing Pokemon Tcg Holiday Calendar
Choosing the right Pokémon TCG holiday calendar depends on your priorities: whether you want a high-value collection booster, a festive experience for younger fans, or a display-oriented set. I recommend considering the type of surprises you value most, seasonal relevance, safety, and whether digital content or physical collectibles are more important for your gift or collection goals.
Consider Your Audience
If you’re buying for serious collectors, calendars with more foil cards and booster packs, like the 2023 calendar, provide long-term value. For children or casual fans, options with fun accessories, themed surprises, and digital codes—such as the 2024 or 2025 calendars—offer a more engaging seasonal experience. Action figure calendars appeal to display-focused collectors but lack trading cards, so choose accordingly.
Content Variety and Seasonality
Most calendars are seasonal and include surprises meant to be enjoyed during the holiday period only. If you want a gift that can be used or enjoyed year-round, look for calendars with digital codes or more durable items. Seasonal calendars often contain small parts or items that could be misplaced or pose safety concerns for young children, so always match the calendar to the recipient’s age and safety needs.
Tradeoffs and Long-Term Value
While seasonal calendars can be highly collectible and fun, their long-term value depends on content predictability and the rarity of included items. Limited details about each surprise or seasonal content variability can impact perceived value after the season ends. Consider whether the surprise elements are worth the tradeoff of limited usability outside the holiday window.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Pokémon holiday calendars suitable for children?
Many Pokémon holiday calendars are designed with children in mind, especially those with smaller accessories and simpler surprises. Calendars like the 2024 and 2025 editions include items suitable for ages 6 and up, but parents should be mindful of small parts that could pose choking hazards for very young children. Always check the age recommendations to ensure safety.
Can I expect the same surprises every year?
No, most Pokémon holiday calendars vary their contents each year to keep the surprises fresh and seasonal. While some themes may recur, the specific foil cards, booster packs, and accessories often change annually, making each calendar a unique collectible experience.
Are these calendars good for long-term collection?
Seasonal calendars are primarily designed for the holiday season and generally not intended for long-term use. However, foil cards and rare collectibles can appreciate in value, especially if they include exclusive items. For long-term collection, consider calendars with more predictable or high-value cards, like the 2023 edition or standalone booster packs.
Do digital codes add significant value?
Digital codes are a popular addition, especially for players who enjoy online Pokémon TCG gameplay. They add a layer of value by enabling digital expansion, but their worth depends on how often you engage with Pokémon TCG online. For collectors solely interested in physical cards, digital codes may be less relevant.
Are these calendars worth the investment?
Values depend on what you seek: if you want a fun, festive experience with collectibles and digital content, calendars like the 2024 and 2025 editions offer good value. For serious collectors, the 2023 calendar provides more long-term value through high-quality foil cards and booster packs. Always consider seasonal limitations and content variability when evaluating worth.
Conclusion
If you’re a dedicated collector or trading card enthusiast, the 2023 calendar will best boost your collection and offer lasting value. For parents or fans seeking a festive, engaging experience for children or casual players, the 2024 calendar delivers a fun, safe, and colorful holiday experience. The 2025 calendar strikes a balance, making it suitable for a broad audience who wants a mix of physical surprises and digital gameplay benefits. Action figure fans should consider the 2025 Battle Figures calendar, which offers a display-worthy, seasonally themed set. Ultimately, your choice hinges on whether you prioritize long-term value, seasonal fun, or display collectibles—each calendar serves a different purpose, so select the one that aligns with your Pokémon holiday tradition.
